I have received my Master's in Acupuncture from Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, MD. My B.S. in computer science is
from the University of Maryland. I have also completed several master level courses in holistic nutrition at
Clayton
College of Natural Health.
In 2003, my then 5 year old daughter Julia became unexpectedly ill and diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic
leukemia. It was a cathartic event that propelled me to seek the best possible care for Julia who made quick
progress with acupuncture, while undergoing chemotherapy. I started learning acupuncture from
Tuan Nguyen
(Julia's acupuncturist) and then enrolled in the formal acupuncture program. Julia is now 12 years old and is a
typical pre-teen who loves hanging out with her friends, reading and dancing.
I love acupuncture and passionately engage with each patient. I am still amazed each time my patients feel better
and heal after my treatments. Acupuncture works! Currently I specialize in treating digestive disorders, depression,
anxiety, fibromyalgia, chronic and acute pain, and facial rejuvenation.
I believe that everyone's healing process is unique. We all want to feel better and live pain free lives. But each
of us has a different approach to achieving those ends. We all have different histories and stories of how we
got to where we are today. I therefore try to approach each patient in a unique way. It is important that people
feel comfortable and safe in my office. Establishing trust with the patient is an important part of setting a
strong foundation for further treatment. I graduated from Tai Sophia Institute with Masters degree in
Acupuncture and lisenced to practice in Maryland.
